The e-mail messages below are scams and, if you receive any, please delete it and do not follow the links in it. The messages try to trick you by stating that your battle.net account is locked and you need to verify that you are the account owner. If you receive any e-mail message requesting or asking you to verify, your password, it is a scam. If your account was locked or if you were denied access to your account for any other reasons, you would have gotten a message on the login page.

If you receive any e-mail notification, always go to the website and verify by logging into your account.  Do not click on any of the links in the e-mail message.

One of the scam battle.net email messages contains the following website address, which appears as if it points to battle.net but instead, it points to zh-bcy.in.

Greetings, 

Due to an unusual change in your access pattern, the Battle.net account under this email address has been locked. This can be caused by logging in from a new location, but it may also signal an attempt to compromise your account.

 If you have registered for Battle.net SMS Protect, you can unlock your account by selecting "Can't log in," then selecting "I'm currently locked out of my account," and following the steps provided. If you have not registered for Battle.net SMS Protect, or if you feel that your account's security is at risk, please follow the steps below.

 Step 1: Verify Your Account Ownership

 

Click on the link below to verify your e-mail address of the Battle.net account:

 Step 2: Secure Your Computer

 Step 4: Choose a New Password

 Change your password to resume using this Battle.net account, as your former password no longer grants access to any login-protected Battle.net account service or game. Visit our Password Reset page to begin the password change process.
