Facebook users beware of the ‘Facebook Color Changer’ malicious Facebook application or virus, which was created by cyber-criminals, to lure Facebook users to a malicious website, by claiming that they have the ability to change the color of their Facebook profile from the standard blue color. The malicious application will temporarily gain access to the Facebook users’ accounts and will send the same malicious application or spam to their Facebook friends.

How the ‘Facebook Color Changer’ App Works
Once Facebook users click on the malicious application located at the web page or URL below:
they will be taken to the malicious website below:
The malicious website will then trick Facebook users into giving the website temporary access to their Facebook accounts, by asking them to click on a ‘Facebook Color Changer’ video tutorial.
Now, with temporary access to the Facebook users’ accounts, the cyber-criminals behind the malicious application or scam will be able to send malicious posts, applications, links or other threats to the Facebook users’ friends.
Also, the malicious website will attempt to take Facebook users to other malicious websites and trick them into downloading malicious software or applications. The other malicious websites may ask the Facebook users to download a video player or display a fake message claiming the users’ computers or devices are infected with a virus and they need to download antivirus software in order to remove it.
