Beware of Advertisement Scam - "Earn/Make 100 with Facebook"

Facebook users are advised to be on the lookout for advertisement offers claiming that they can make $100 or other amounts of money with their Facebook pages or accounts. The advertisement offers are scams created by scammers to trick Facebook users into advertising their scams and other fraudulent activities on Facebook. And, Facebook users will never get paid the money they were promised for the advertisments.

Please continue reading below.

How the Scam Works?

Scammers contact Facebook users and send them a message or post asking them to use their Facebook pages or accounts to advertise for them. Most of the Facebook users who receive the advertisement offer message from scammers, are those whose profiles the scammers have harvested using like-farming scams. Like-farming scams are scams that trick Facebook users into liking, commenting or sharing fake posts. Other Facebook users who receive the advertisement offer message from the scammers, are those who were tricked into accepting another friend request from cloned Facebook accounts of their friends created by scammers.

Facebook users who receive the message and decide that they will take up the advertisement offer, will be promised to be paid $100 or other amounts of money after the scammers’ advertisements have run for a month or a few weeks. But, once it is time for Facebook users to receive their money, they will never hear from the scammers, and the scammers on the other hand, would have reached and started targeting their potential victims that the advertisements have sent to them.

This type of advertisement scam is now popular on Facebook, because scammers can reach millions of potential victims for free. Therefore, Facebook users are asked to be on the lookout for such scam.
