The scam was reported to by Kmart by a Facebook user:

Hey guys

Someone is scamming your customers by posting a fake page and stealing your posts and videos to claim it's the official page.

When they click like they have to enter a mobile number and it signs them up to a subscription service

Just letting you know in case you can shut them down and avoid complaints

Page is called Kmart AU

If you need screen shots I have them your wall just won't let me attach :)

And, Kmart responded saying the following:

Kmart Australia: "Hey Ashley, thanks for getting in touch with us. It is a scam and we have reported it to Facebook. We appreciate you taking the time to inform us though! Have a great day, Bree"

Kmart customers can also verify promotions on their Facebook page. And, for Facebook users who have already followed the instructions in the fake Kmart Australia post, please click here for instructions on how to remove it from your Wall or Timeline.
