Phishing Scam - "You Submitted a Request to Terminate your Microsoft Account"

The email messages below: "You submitted a request to terminate your Microsoft account," are phishing scams designed to steal Microsoft Hotmail/Live/Outlook usernames and passwords. The email messages were not sent by Microsoft, but by cyber-criminals, whose intentions are to trick the recipients into hijacking their accounts and use it for malicious purposes.

The Microsoft Account Phishing Email Scams

Dear Hotmail Customer,

You submitted a request to terminate your Hotmail account email address and the process has started by our Hotmail Email Team, Please give us 3 working days to close your email address.

All files on your Hotmail mail including (Inbox, Sent, Spam, Trash, Draft) will be deleted and access to your Hotmail Email address will be Denied; If anything doesn't look right, To cancel the termination follow the link below to make changes and sign in your Hotmail! email account and cancel request
