After watching the video, you should have learnt that the best way to prevent the ATM PIN Code Hack from happening to you, is to rest your other fingers on other buttons while you type or enter your PIN code into a credit/debit card machine. This will leave a meaningless heat signature.

Also, the hack doesn't work on metal buttons because they reflect infrared and are highly thermally conductive. This will make them reflect infrared like a mirror and dissipate heat quickly, which will not leave a thermal heat signature behind.

This hack is also possible with other SmartPhones, as long as the device is able to use an infrared camera.
