What is International Fraud Awareness Week?

International Fraud Awareness Week takes place yearly during the third week of November, and is part of an international initiative to raise awareness of scams and promote safe online practices. Established by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners(ACFE), the week-long campaign encourages business leaders and employees to proactively take steps to minimize the impact of fraud by promoting anti-fraud awareness and education, fraud detection and prevention.

Businesses and organizations across the world are encouraged to become official supporters of International Fraud Awareness Week, which is a week dedicated to fraud awareness, detection & prevention.

Organizations and individuals are encouraged to register as Official Supporters prior to International Fraud Awareness Week, and to host training opportunities, distribute anti-fraud information or otherwise promote anti-fraud activities during the week.
