Facebook Scam - "SW Rewards - Get 2 Southwest Tickets"

The Facebook post below: "SW Rewards Get 2 Southwest Tickets," is a scam. Thousands of Facebook users are being tricked into "liking", sharing or commenting on the fake Southwest Airlines Facebook page hosting the post, which claims that Southwest is giving away 2 tickets. Facebook users are advised not to follow the instructions in the post or visit the link in the post that goes to a fake promotional website or a website offering fake gifts.

If you have received the fake post below on your Facebook Wall or Timeline, please report it as spam or delete it. And, always check with Southwest Airlines Facebook page located at to verify the authenticity of a promotion.

By liking,commenting on and sharing the scam, you are only helping to spread it to other Facebook users and making the scammers responsible for this, earn money. Scammers earn money when they make a page popular and are able to sell it to the highest bidder, along with the names and other public information of the persons who liked or shared the scam.

I guess, the last thing we want to do is to make these scammers rich by tricking you and others into liking and sharing a Facebook post or website. So, if you have already liked or shared this scam, please unlike and unshare it.
