Fake and Malicious Email - "Statement to be Filed or Executed"

The poorly written email message below, which claims that the recipients are doing something illegal and are under investigation, is a fake and has a malicious attachment disguised as a statement. If you have received this email message, please do not attempt to open the attachment; you should instead delete it. The email was sent by cyber-criminals who are attempting to trick their potential victims into opening the malicious attachment, which will infect their computers with a malicious computer program called a Trojan horse.

Once infected, the Trojan horse will allow cyber-criminals to remotely gain access to the victims' computers from anywhere around the world without their knowledge. This will allow the cyber-criminals to spy on them, steal their user names, passwords, personal and financial information, which will be used to steal their money or identity. So, please do not follow the instructions in the email message if you have received it, delete it instead.

The victims of the fake email message are advised to do a full scan of their computers with the anti-virus software installed on them.

It has been detected that via your e-mail account are being mailed materials including discriminatory propaganda.

Please note that mentioned actions are to be qualified as criminal offence forbidden by legislation.

Police will conduct according investigation as a result of which you to five years.

If you had not mailed mentioned materials as soon as possible execute enclosed declaration and forward the scan-copy

The attachment contains the following malicious file: "sstatement_to_be_executed.scr".
