Phishing Scam - "Your Apple ID Is Due To Be Expire Today" at appleexpired.co.uk

The text or email message below, which appears as if came from Apple Inc., claiming that the recipients' Apple IDs are due to expire today and they should confirm them, is a phishing scam sent by cybercriminals, and not by Apple. The link in the fake text or email message goes to a fake or phishing website created by cybercriminals to steal Apple users’ ID and password. Therefore, recipients of the text or email message should delete it and ignore the instructions in it. Also, they should not visit the phishing website (appleexpired.co.uk) in the text or email message.

The Phishing Text or Email Message Scam

“Your Apple ID is due to be expire today. Prevent this by confirming your Apple ID at http://appleexpired.co.uk – Apple Inc”

Apple users who have already visited the fake or phishing website (appleexpired.co.uk), and who were tricked into submitting or entering their Apple accounts' username and password on it, should change their passwords immediately, before it is hijacked by cybercriminals and used fraudulently.
