Beware of "Sharpie is Giving Away Free 24-Marker Set to Everyone on its 13th Anniversary" Facebook Scam

The Facebook post and websites below: "Sharpie is Giving away Free 24-Marker Set to Everyone on its 13th Anniversary," is a Facebook like-farming and survey scam. The scam will attempt to trick Facebook users into clicking on it by claiming that they can receive a free 24-marker set from Sharpie on their 13th anniversary. The links in the fake post go to the following fake Sharpie websites: "," "," and "," which has nothing to do with Sharpie. And is only a scam to get Facebook users to comment on, "like", share the same deceptive websites or fake post with their Facebook friends and complete surveys.

Facebook users who have received the post on your Facebook Wall or Timeline, should report it as spam or delete it. And, should only visit the legitimate Sharpie website located at:

Remember, by liking, commenting on, and sharing the scam, you are only helping to spread it to other Facebook users and making the scammers responsible for it, earn money. Scammers earn money when they make a page popular and are able to sell it to the highest bidder, along with the names and other public information of the persons who liked or shared the scam.

I guess, the last thing we want to do is to make these scammers rich by tricking you and others into liking and sharing a Facebook post or websites. So, if you have already liked, commented on, or shared this scam, please unlike, remove your comment and 'unshare' it.

Also, they will ask you to complete surveys in order to receive your voucher. But, it doesn't matter how much surveys you complete, you will never receive the free 24-marker set.
