Beware of American Express Phishing Scams Sent By Cybercriminals

American Express customers are advised not to click on links in e-mail messages to sign into their accounts, they should instead, go directly to American Express's website located at www.americanexpress.com, and sign-in from there. And, if there is someone wrong with their accounts or they need to update their account information, they will be notified. This will prevent American Express customers from clicking on links in phishing email messages sent by cybercriminals that go to fraudulent websites, which steal personal information and American Express online account credentials.

American Express customers who know or think they may have been tricked by a phishing America Express e-mail message, are asked to change their passwords immediately and contact American Express for help.

AMERICAN EXPRESS: RECENT UPDATE

Dear Valued Customer,

We are currently having some technical issues with our server. Due to this effect, some information about your account was found missing. Please, kindly help us to complete/verify your account information. We sincerely apologies for the inconveniences this may cause.

To verify your account, simply: Login and Verify to update your account information.

Sincerely,

American Express Company

This e-mail is a Customer Service message that has been sent to notify you of important information regarding your account.
