Google Chrome web browser users should look out for a malicious update web page. If you are taken to any web page which asks you to update Google Chrome, please do not click on any of the links on the page. Google Chrome automatically updates itself in the background without your intervention.

The Malicious Google Chrome Update Web Page

The name of the malicious file is google_chrome_update.exe. Please note that the scammers may change the file name.

This malicious file will infect your computer with a Trojan, virus and other malwares which, can be used to steal your usernames, passwords, credit card information, other personal information and, use your computer to commit cybercrime.

Again, never download files from any web sites to update your Google Chrome web browser; Google Chrome will update itself automatically.
