Scam Calls from Telephone Number 404-400-1147

A lot of persons have reported that they have been receiving scam calls from telephone number 404-400-1147. Even persons who are on the Do Not Call (DNC) list are being called. Some persons have reported that they have received calls telling them how they can lower their credit card interest rates but, these persons do not possess credit cards. The funny thing about these calls is that, once you threaten these people or mention to them that they are scamming you, they quickly hang up the phone.

These callers from telephone number 404-400-1147, may ask you for your credit card information and claim they are calling on behalf of your bank or Credit Card Company to help you lower your credit card interest rate.

Do not give these scammers this information because your bank or Credit Card Company should have this information already. One person reported that the caller kept trying to guess the first 4 digits of his credit card number in attempt to trick him into believing the call is legitimate.

Obviously, this is scam. Thousands of persons on the internet have reported receiving calls from this number and have complained about it.

Whenever these telemarketers ask me for my credit card number, I usually give them a fake number and name. I then ask a lot of fake questions and pretend to be that person. If the caller keeps answering "yes" to my questions that I know is not true, I know it is a scam.
