Getting Repeated Facebook Friend Requests from Persons You are Already Friends With

A lot of people have told me that they are getting Facebook friend requests from persons that they are already friends with. After hearing this, the first thing that came to my mind was Facebook account profile cloning, but it seems that I was wrong. It seems this problem is not caused by a hacker or virus, but by a glitch.

It seems that Facebook has made some changes to their programming API and the mobile application vendors or developers, who use Facebook API in their applications, were not told about the changes or they are not updating their applications to work with the changes.

This problem seems to happen on IPhone or BlackBerry smartphones, when someone uploads or posts a photo to Facebook using his/her mobile application.

This is how the Facebook Friend Request looks

It seems Blackberry devices running Blackberry OS 7 and earlier are affected by this problem.

How to fix the "Facebook Friend Requests from Persons you are already Friends With" problem
