Phishing PayPal Email - "You sent a payment of 39.00 GBP to Skype"

The email messages below: "You sent a payment of 39.00 GBP to Skype" and "You sent a payment of 46.49 GBP to Skype," are fakes and were not sent by PayPal. Do not click on the links or follow the instructions in the email messages, if you have received any of them, because they were designed to steal your PayPal user name and password.

Please note that the scammers can change the payment amount in the email message, so look out for the same email message with a different payment amount.

If you click on the "open a dispute" link, you will be taken to a fake PayPal login page. If you enter your user name and password on this page, it will be sent to the scammers behind these phishing PayPal websites.

With your PayPal credentials, these scammers can sign into your PayPal account and steal your money by transferring it to another account or purchase goods and services online.

If you were tricked into entering your PayPal user name and password, by clicking on a link in one of these email messages, please change your PayPal password.
