This email message was not sent from an apple.com email address, but from an email address located at mail.com and s125.webhosting server.nl, which are both free email addresses that have nothing to do with Apple.

Do not let the words "Behalf of Apple" fool you. Never respond to an email message, follow instructions in it or click on links within it that claims it was sent on behalf of someone or a company.

Also, never respond to an email message, follow the instructions in it or click on links in it, which came from a free email address provider like hotmail.com, yahoo.com, gmail.com or mail.com, asking you to update your Apple account information.

The malicious link: https://appleid.apple.com/ confirm/ OynS-uAtTw6W61X3oKA3PQ, may have fooled a lot of persons because it takes you to a web page on apple's secure server. What these cyber-criminals have done, is to create this phishing or fake web page under an Apple ID account that they have created, which asks for personal or credit card information.

If you enter the requested information on this page, it will be sent to the scammers who have created it.
