Bank of America Virus Statement Notification Email August 6 2013

The Bank of America (BOA) virus email message below will infect your computer if you open the attachment. The email was not sent from Bank of American, but from cybercriminals who want to infect your computer with a Trojan that they can use to take control of your computer. With control of your computer, these cybercriminals can spy on you, steal your user names and passwords, or use your computer to commit cybercrimes, which will be traced back to you.

The email message may also contain a link that will take you to a malicious website that will infect your computer, if you click on it. If your computer does not have the latest security patches this malicious website will infect your computer by just visiting it.

If you receive the above email message or anything like it, please do not click on the links in it and delete it.

If you have already opened the attachment or visited the malicious website, please do a full virus scan of your computer with the antivirus software installed on it.
