"Missed New Voice Message" WhatsApp Virus Email Messages
The email message below: "Missed voice message," which claims that you have a new WhatsApp voice message, has a virus attached to it. This email message was not sent by WhatsApp, but by cyber-criminals, whose intentions are to trick the recipients into opening the malicious attachment. And, opening the attachment will infect their computers with a virus or Trojan horse.
The "Missed Voice Message" WhatsApp Virus Email
Subject: Missed voice message
Attachment: Missed-message.zip
"Missed-message.zip" file, contains the virus file "Missed-message.exe" that will infect your computer if you open it. Note: cyber-criminals may change the file name.
When we scanned the file, the following threats were detected:
- W32/Trojan.GGLJ-3673
- Trojan.DownLoad3.28161
- Win32/Kryptik.BSXR
- W32/Trojan3.HDX
- Mal/EncPk-ZC
Once your computer has become infected with the malicious Trojan horse delivered by the Asprox/Kuluoz botnet, the cybercriminals behind the malicious email message will be able to access and take control of your computer remotely from anywhere around the world. They may spy on you, use your computer to commit cybercrimes, or steal your personal and financial information.
Now, if you have already opened the malicious Missed-message.exe, please do a full scan of your computer with the antivirus software installed on it.

Remember, never open an attachment that has a name ending with “.exe”, because these are computer programs that can infect your computer with a virus or some other malware.
