Warning - Announcement from Facebook Verification Team Scam
The "Facebook Account Verification" scam below, which started in mid 2012, is once again spreading like wildfire on the internet. This scam will attempt to trick Facebook users into installing a malicious Facebook application, taking surveys or sending their Facebook user names and passwords, by claiming that they need to verify their accounts before March 15, 2014 to avoid scams under SOPA and PIPA Act.

This message was not sent from Facebook, but instead, my cyber-criminals who are in the business of scamming you.
Once you click the link in this message, you will be asked to install a malicious Facebook application, take surveys or enter your Facebook user name (email address) or password that will be sent to the scammer behind this fake message.
If you install the malicious Facebook application, it will spread this fake message to all of your Facebook friends.
If you have already given this scam's malicious Facebook application access to your Facebook account, please remove it. Click here for instructions.
And, if you complete the surveys, you are putting yourself in danger of scammers stealing your identity or using your information to scam you or sell it to online marketers or other scammers. Also, the scammers will get paid for every survey completed.
If you have clicked the link in the message and were asked to verify your account by entering your Facebook user name (email address) and password, please change your Facebook password immediately. This is because you have sent your Facebook username and password to the cyber-criminals behind this scam. With this information they will gain access to your account.
With access to your account, these cyber-criminals will lock you out of your Facebook account by changing your Facebook email address and password. Once they have done this, they will use your account to scam your friends and spread these fake Facebook posts to other persons.
Once your account is taken over by these scammers and used for malicious purposes, Facebook will disable it.
If you were tricked into clicking on any of these links and asked to enter your Facebook user name and password, please try to change your Facebook password immediately.
