Fake and Virus CriticalReach.org Email Message - Homicide Suspect
The email below with the subject: "Homicide Suspect," is a fake CriticalReach.org message. The email message was not sent by CriticalReach, but by cybercriminals whose intentions are to trick you into opening the malicious virus or Trojan horse email attachment disguised as an Adobe Reader PDF document. CriticalReach is a non-profit organization, which provides Americans with an alert system that saves lives, gets dangerous felons off the streets, and builds safer communities.

The attachment or the file “~apbnet00~50~44b76b05-3e01-414a-8469-04f234689df3~Email.zip” is not an Adobe Reader PDF document, but a Zip or a compressed file, which contains the Windows malicious virus or Trojan file “~apbnet00~50~44b76b05-3e01-414a-8469-04f234689df3~Email.exe”.
Do not open files ending with “.zip” or “.rar”, unless you are expecting these files from someone. Cybercriminals are compressing or adding their viruses to archive files such as Zip (“.zip”) or WinRAR (“.rar”) to make them undetectable or able to bypass your email provider’s virus scanners.
If you open this malicious file, your computer will get infected with a Trojan horse, which the cybercriminals behind this message will be able to use to access and take control of your computer remotely from anywhere around the world.
