Do You Know This Girl? - Virus Email Message

The email message below with the subject: "Do you know this girl?," has a virus or Trojan horse attached to it that will infect your Windows computer if you open it. The message is a fake and was created and sent by cyber-criminals to trick curious recipients into opening the malicious attachment with the name "photo.zip", thinking it is a photo of a missing girl.

The Virus Email Message - Do You Know This Girl?

Subject: Do you know this girl?
Attachement: photo.zip

Opening the email message will not infect your computer with a virus or Trojan horse; only the attachment will.

The attached file "photo.zip" contains the malicious file "host.exe", which is a virus or a Trojan horse.

If you open the malicious file, your computer will get infected with a Trojan horse, which the cybercriminals behind this message will be able to use to access and take control of your computer remotely from anywhere around the world. They may spy on you, use your computer to commit cybercrimes, or steal your personal and financial information.

Now, if you have already opened the malicious file, please do a full scan of your computer with the antivirus software installed on it.
