Beware, especially Twitter users, of the scam: 'FREE Exclusive Job Offers', which scammers and cyber-criminals are using to lure persons to the phishing or fake job offering website: www.ixjobs.net. The website is a fake, and you should not enter any of your personal or other information on it, unless you want to be scammed and receive tons of email spam.

This scam is being sent mostly from phony Twitter accounts, created by scammers, to trick Twitter users into visiting the fake job offering website: twitter.ixjobs.net, in search of ways of making money online.

Note carefully: the fake website will claim that there are job offers in your area, but this is not true, because the website will determine where you are located in the world, based on your IP address, and display the following : ‘FREE Exclusive Job Offers for [location]’.in the message, [location] will be replaced by your location.

Scammers and cybercriminals know that a lot of persons are looking desperately to earn money online, especially in these tough economic times, so they have created these malicious websites in order to steal their personal information, trick them into completing surveys that they (scammers and cybercriminals) will get paid for, or trick them into downloading malicious software that will infect their computers with a virus, Trojan horse or other malware.

The scammers also attempt to encourage persons into hastily or quickly registering, by claiming that they are only registering a few amounts of persons.

So, if the job offer above is send to you via a social networking post, an email message or other means of communication, please delete it.
