Debit Order Payment - Standard Bank Phishing Scam
The email message below: "Debit Order Payment," is a phishing scam. The email message was not sent by the 'Standard Bank', but by cyber-criminals, whose aim is to trick some Standard Bank’s customers into clicking on the phishing link in the fake email message below in order to steal their personal, financial and other sensitive information.

If you don't want to authorize this debit order, please click here to login. and ensure that you follow subsequent steps carefully.

The link in the email message goes to a fake or phishing 'Standard Bank' website, which will ask the persons who clicked the link, to enter their Standard Bank's username, password, credit, personal information and other security information, needed to hijack the victims’ accounts.
If these persons enter the information requested, it will be sent to the scammers behind this fake email and phishing website.
With this information, these scammers will be able to gain access to their victims' accounts, sell this information to the highest bidder and further scam the victims.in this case, these persons can end up being victims of identity theft and credit card fraud.
If you unknowingly clicked on the link in the email message, please change your Standard Bank password immediately and contact them.
Never click on a link in an email message or anywhere else to login or sign into your online accounts. Always go directly to the website by typing the name of the website into your web browser's address bar.
