"Payment Made As Per Outstanding Invoice" Virus Email

The email message below with the subject "Payment Made As Per Outstanding Invoice," has a virus or Trojan horse attached to it that will infect your Windows computer if you open it. The message is a fake and was not by sent by JK Enterprises. It was instead, created and sent by cyber criminals to trick the recipients into opening the malicious attachment, disguised a payment receipt with the name 'Payment Copy.rar', by claiming that the recipients need to confirm outstanding payment.

The email attachment “Payment Copy.rar” is not a payment receipt, but a file that that contains the malicious file or virus “Payment Copy.rar.exe” or "Payment Copy.exe".

Do not open files ending with “.zip” or “.rar”, unless you are expecting these files from someone. Cyber criminals are compressing or adding their viruses to archive files such as Zip (“.zip”) or WinRAR( “.rar”) to make them undetectable or able to bypass your email provider’s virus scanners.

If you open this malicious file, your computer will get infected with a Trojan horse, which the cybercriminals behind this message will be able to use to access and take control of your computer remotely from anywhere around the world. They may spy on you, use your computer to commit cyber crimes, or steal your personal and financial information.
