Phishing Scam - "Tesco Bank is Giving You a Chance to Shop for Free & Giving Away Vouchers"

The email message below which claims that Tesco Bank is giving their customers a chance to shop for free at any of their Tesco outlets and giving away free Tesco vouchers online, is a fake and a phishing scam. The email message was sent by cyber-criminals and not by Tesco Bank, to trick the email recipients into clicking on the link within it in order to take them to a fake or phishing Tesco Bank website designed to steal their username, password, personal and financial information, which they (cyber-criminals) will use to hijack their accounts.

Clicking on the link in the email message will take the potential victims to a fake Tesco Bank website, which will ask them for their username, password, personal and financial information.

If the requested information is entered, it will be sent to the cybercriminals behind the scam. Once they have the information, they will use it to hijack the victims' accounts, steal their money and use the accounts for fraudulent purposes.

If you have already followed the instructions in the email message and have entered your information on the fake website, please change your Tesco Bamk password immediately and contact them.

To avoid getting tricked by these phishing scams, never click on a link in an email message to sign into your account. Always go to your bank's website directly and sign into your account from there.
