Phishing Scam - "Bankwest Final Response CMcedwards"

The email message below: "Bankwest Final Response CMcedwards," is a phishing scam. The email message was not sent by Bankwest.instead, it was sent by cyber-criminals, so do not follow the instructions or click on the links within it. The malicious links in the fake email message will take you to a fake Bankwest website created to trick you into stealing your Bankwest's username and password, and credit card information.

Thank you for your email and feedback regarding your Savings Account ending in 545-2.

I write further to our email correspondence on 14 October 2015.

Upon further review of the investigation the Bank has declined your claim for a reimbursement of $7000.00.

Mr Chadwick, if you have any further feedback or suggestions, please contact me by return email.

Every month, thousands of these email messages are sent out by scammers to tricktheir potential victims into stealing their username, password, financial or personal information. So, never click on link in an email message to sign into or log on to any of your online accounts.

Almost go directly to http://www.bankwest.com.au/ in web browser and sign into your account from there. If there is a problem with your account, you will be notified after signing or logging in.

If you were tricked into clicking the link in the fake email message and have entered your username and password for your Bankwest account on the bogus website that you were taken to, please change your Bankwest password immediately and contact Bankwest immediately.
