"Automatic Secure, Unauthorized Activity from Your Account‏‏‏" PayPal Phishing Scam

The email message below: "Automatic Secure, Unauthorized Activity from Your Account‏‏‏," which claims that the recipients should log into their PayPal accounts to resolve the limitations on them, is a phishing scam. The fake email message was created by cyber-criminals to trick the recipients into clicking on one of the links in it, which will take them to the fake and phishing website: "paypal-limit .center". The fake and phishing website should not be visited and the instructions on it should never be followed, because any information submitted on it will be sent to the cyber-criminals, who will use it to hijack their victims' accounts.

Persons who have already fallen victim to the phishing scam should change their PayPal passwords immediately and check their accounts for discrepancies.

What's going on?

We're concerned that someone may be using your PayPal account without your knowledge. Recent activity from your account seems to have occurred from a new location or under circumstances that may be different to usual.

What to do?

Log In to your Paypal account as soon as possible. We may ask you to confirm information you provided when you created your account to make sure you're the account holder . You should also do the following for your own protection:

Log In : Check your account overview (cardholder name, credit card, etc.) to make sure they're accurate.

Review your account activity to make sure you recognise the transactions recently made.

Report any unknown or unauthorised activity. Go to the Resolution Centre and click

Dispute a Transaction.
