United Nations Lottery Scam -"Your Skype Name Has Been Selected As One of the Lucky Winner"
The email message below: "your skype name has been selected as one of the lucky winner in the on going UN program," is a phishing scam. The email message was not sent by the United Nations.instead, it was sent by scammers to trick their potential victims into sending money, which they claim, is for taxes or some form of fees that cannot be deducted from their winnings.

please get back to us for claim with your secret code number through our personal email address [email address] and you are advice to keep your secret code number as Top secret until you have receive your price.
please contact us through email only because we dont respond to anybody here on skype.

Every month, scammers send out thousands of email messages like the fake one above, in an attempt to trick as many people as possible into sending their hard-earned money, thinking that they have won the lottery or sweepstakes.
So, never send money anyone who claims that you are the winner of a lottery, sweepstakes or some form of promotion, and asks you to send money. Sending money will only help make the scammers responsible for the fake email messages richer, which will motivate them to continue scamming people.
