Scam Alert - Fake Canada Revenue Agency & TD Canada Trust Website - tdcanadatrustwallet.com
Scammer are sending out fake text messages like the ones below, asking their potential victims to visit the fake and phishing website: "www.tdcanadatrustwallet.com". The fake website was created by scammers to steal their potential victims' personal and financial (banking) information, which they (scammers) will use to rip them off.
The Fake or Phishing Text Messages

"(ALERT!)Your TD online account have been suspended,to unlock your account please click here:http://tdcanadatrustwallet.com/td" - “(e-Transfer) Canada Revenue Agency has sent you an INTERAC e-Transfer.Click here to deposit your income tax return:http://tdcanadatrustwallet.com/etransfer”
If the recipients of the fake text messages visit the phishing website, they will be asked to enter their personal information, financial information and account credentials. Once the information is entered on the fake website, it will be sent to the scammers or cyber-criminals that have created the website.
Persons who have received the fake text messages, which instruct them to visit the phishing website, are asked not to follow the instructions in them and report the messages to their service providers.
And, the recipients of the fake text messages who have followed the instructions in them are asked to change their TD Online Banking password and contact TD Canada Trust.
