Fake Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel Booking/Reservation Email Confirmation Contains a Virus
The email message below with the subject: "Reservations Sydney Airport," has a malicious attachment that will infect the recipients' computers if they attempt to open it. The email was not sent by Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel, but by cyber-criminals, whose aim is to infect the recipients' computers with a Trojan horse, which will allow them to spy on and steal their victims' personal and financial information. Recipients of the email message are asked to delete it and do not attempt to open the attachment.

Attachment name: booking_hotel_ confirmation.zip
Good morning,
I hope this email finds you well. I am contacting you in relation to your bookings for tomorrow night with us here at Rydges Sydney Airport.
We currently have THREE bookings in place for you.
To ensure that this is indeed correct and not a duplicate booking due to a technical glitch would you be able to kindly confirm that you will be requiring the three rooms booked?
Once you have confirmed this, I’ll notate to similarly allocate the rooms adjacent to each for convenience on arrival.
We look forward to receiving your confirmation (and welcoming you to our Hotel tomorrow!)

Now, recipients of the email message who have already opened the malicious attachment, are advised do a full scan of their computers with the antivirus software installed on them.
