IMTA Text Message Scam From Telephone Number 573-836-1088

Scammers are sending out fake text messages like the one below from telephone number 573-836-1088, claiming the recipients have been selected for an exclusive audition to meet with national scouts for an opportunity to attend IMTA. The recipients of the fake messages are advised not to follow the instructions in the message and should report the message to their carrier or service providers.

Remember, never give anyone your personal and financial information over the phone. If you are asked for personal information, credit card information, to make payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, Pre-paid Debit Card or some other money transfer service, it is a scam. These method of payments make it easy for the scammers to take their victims' money, which will make it impossible for the victims to get back their money.
