Facebook Scam - "Today I am Very Happy Because I Just Got an Apple iPhone 6!"
The message below: "Today I am Very Happy Because I Just Got an Apple iPhone 6!" is a scam that is being used by spammers and scammers to lure Facebook users into visiting spam or phishing scam websites. Facebook users are advised not to click on the link in the message or share it, if it appears on their Timeline or Wall; they should instead, report to it Facebook as spam.
The Fake Facebook Message
"Today I am very happy because I just got an Apple iphone 6! I got this message from one of my facebook friends, after that I applied and got it. So i am thinking you also have a Chance to Win an Apple iPhone 6! Its very very simple just apply from below [link removed]"
Spammers and scammers are always working on new ways of stealing their potential victims’ information. The message above is just one of the many that they are using to lure their potential victims to phishing websites or Facebook pages, to trick their victims into sending them their information.
So, please beware of messages with claims that seem just too good to be true.
