"WhatsApp Messenger Will Be Offline Because Of Overusage of User Names"
The message below, which claims that WhatsApp will be offline between certain hours daily, due to a problem caused by the overusage of user names on WhatsApp Messenger, is a fake or a hoax. The hoax also stated that WhatsApp’s users who ignore the message or warning, or those who fail to send or forward the fake message to their friends will have their WhatsApp accounts deleted within the next 48 hours. And, the users whose accounts have been deleted will be charged a fee of $299 to reactivate their accounts. But, everything stated by the message is just another prank started by pranksters, who think it is funny to make a fool of WhatsApp users.
WhatsApp users who have received the message should delete it and should not follow the instructions in it. WhatsApp users who want to verify if a message is legitimate, may go to WhatsApp’s blog by clicking here. Every important message, notification and public announcement is published on their blog. If the message is not on their blog, it means it is not legitimate.
