Malicious Facebook Email Notifications - "Hey. You Have Missed E-Mails Ringers‏"

Cyber-criminals are sending out fake Facebook email messages with the subject: "Hey. You Have Missed E-Mails Ringers," with malicious links. The malicious links will take the recipients who have clicked on them, to spam and phishing websites created by spammers and cyber-criminals. The spam and phishing websites will attempt to, trick potential victims into buying fake products and services, and steal potential victims' personal and financial information. The recipients may also be taken to malicious websites, where they will be tricked into downloading and installing malicious software like viruses, Trojan horse and spyware, disguised as legitimate software. While others, may be taken to spam websites.

Recipients of the fake and malicious email messages are asked to delete them and should never attempt to click on the links within the emails. Recipients of the same email messages who have clicked on the links within them, should scan their computers with the antivirus software installed them.
