"Delta Airlines Gift Bags of 5 First Class Tickets and Cash" Giveaway Scam
The fake Delta Airlines posts below, which claims Delta Airlines is giving away 200 gift bags containing 5 first class tickets and $5,000 to celebrate being named the #1 Airline in the U.S.A, is a Facebook scam. The Delta Airlines ticket giveaway scam will take potential to a fake Delta Airlines website. Thousands of Facebook users are being tricked into "liking", sharing, commenting on the fake Delta Airlines post and website. The fake website may also ask Facebook users complete surveys, which the scammers will get paid for. So, Facebook users are advised not to follow the instructions in the post or on the fake Delta Airlines website.
Facebook users who have received the fake post below on their Facebook Wall or Timeline, are ask to report it as spam or delete it. Also, Facebook users are being asked to always check with the legitimate Delta Airlines Facebook page located at: www.facebook.com/delta, to verify the authenticity of a promotion.
