Remember, Microsoft would never send such a message to their users or customers asking them to call a particular telephone number. So, if online users receive messages asking them to call a certain telephone number or visit a particular website because, some suspicious activities were detected on their computers or network, a virus was detected on their computers, their accounts will be closed, or because of some other reasons related to their computers or online accounts, they should ignore the message.

Also, online users should beware of phone calls from cyber-criminals claiming that their computers are infected with a virus and request remote access. Online users should never allow remote access to their computers from someone that they are not familiar with. And, should never follow a stranger's instructions to download and install any application on their computers or mobile devices; because a stranger can infect their computers with virus or some other spyware that they (strangers) can use to spy on them and eventually steal their personal and financial information.
