"JCPenny Is Giving Away Free $100 OFF Coupon and $80 Gift Card"
The Facebook post below, which claims that JCPenny is giving away free $100 or $80 gift coupon or card, is a Facebook like-farming scam. This scam will attempt to trick Facebook users into clicking on it by claiming that they get a gift card or coupon to celebrate JCPenny's 125th anniversary or birthday. But, the fake Facebook post has nothing to do with JCPenny, and is only a scam sent by cybercriminals to get Facebook users to comment on, "like" or share the same fake JCPenny gift card or coupon with their Facebook friends.
If you have received the same fake post on your Facebook Wall or Timeline, please report it to Facebook as spam.The scammers behind the post may change the website name and the coupon dollar amount.

Remember, by liking, commenting on, and sharing the gift card or coupon scam, you are only helping to spread it to other Facebook users and making the scammers responsible for it earn money. Scammers earn money when they make a page popular and are able to sell it to the highest bidder, along with the names and other public information of the persons who liked or shared the scam. I guess, the last thing we want to do is to make these scammers rich by tricking you and others into commenting on, liking and sharing a fake Facebook post or website. So, if you have already liked, commented on, or shared this scam, please unlike, remove your comment and 'unshare' it.
Also, they may ask you to complete surveys in order to receive your coupon. But, it doesn't matter how much surveys you complete, you will never receive any coupons. The scammers, on the other hand, will get paid for each competed survey.
