"Your Account Will be Blocked Due to System Error" Microsoft Outlook Phishing Scam

The email message below, which claims the recipients' Microsoft Outlook email accounts will be blocked due to system error, is a phishing scam created and sent by cyber-criminals to steal the recipients’ email account usernames and passwords. Once cyber-criminals have gotten their victims’ email account credentials, they will hijack their accounts and use them fraudulently. So, recipients of the fake email message should delete it and never attempt to click on the links or follow the instructions in it.

Recipients of the fake Microsoft Outlook email message who have already followed the instructions in it, should change their email account's password immediately, before their email accounts are hijacked.to protect against phishing scams, Microsoft account users should not click on links in email messages to sign into their email accounts. They should always go directly to www.outlook.com, www.hotmail.com or www.live.com, instead. And, if there is something wrong with their accounts, they will be notified.
