Barclays Bank "New Interest Rate Applied" Phishing Scam
The email message below, which claims that some changes have been made on all Barclays Bank’s interest rate, is a phishing scam. The fake email message was sent by cybercriminals to trick Barclays Bank’s customers into clicking on the link within it, which will take them a fake Barclays Bank website. The fake website will ask visitors to sign-in with their Barclays Bank’s credentials (user name and password), but once the visitors attempt to sign-in, their credentials will be sent to the cybercriminals responsible for the scam. Once the cybercriminals have gotten their potential victims’ credentials, they will access their Barclays Bank accounts, steal their victims’ money and use the accounts fraudulently.

Victims of the above phishing scam, should contact Barclay Bank immediately. And, Barclays Bank customers should never click on a link to sign into their accounts. They should instead, always go directly to www.barclays.co.uk.
