"Yahoo Violation of Terms and Policies" Phishing Scams
The email message below, which claims that due to violation of Yahoo terms and policies, their accounts will be de-activated shortly, is a phishing scam. The fake email message, disguised as a De-Activation alert, was sent by cybercriminals to trick the recipients into clicking on the link within it, which goes to a phishing or fake Yahoo website. The fake website will request that visitors sign-in with their Yahoo usernames and passwords, but any attempts to sign-in will result in the visitors’ usernames and passwords being sent to the cybercriminals responsible for the scam.
Once cybercriminals have received the stolen usernames and passwords, they will use it to hijack the Yahoo accounts and use them fraudulently. Yahoo users who are victims of the phishing scam, should change their passwords immediately, before it is hijacked.

Yahoo users should always go directly to Yahoo’s websites to sign into their accounts, instead of clicking on a link. This is the best protection against phishing scams.
