"Microsoft Email Account Requires an Immediate Verification Process to Avoid Termination"
The email message below, which claims that the recipients' Microsoft email accounts require an immediate verification process to avoid termination, and failure to do so will result in their accounts being permanently blocked to help protect against fraud or abuse, is a phishing scam. The fake email message was created and sent by cyber-criminals to frighten the recipients and trick them into sending their personal information, email account usernames, and passwords. Once cyber-criminals have gotten their potential victims’ email account credentials, they will hijack their accounts and use them fraudulently. So, recipients of the fake email message should delete it and not follow the instructions in it.
Also, recipients of the fake email message who have already followed the instructions in it, should change their Microsoft accounts' password immediately, before they are hijacked and used fraudulently by cybercriminals.
