William Bradley "Brad" Pitt, an American actor and producer, is not dead. The fake Facebook post below, disguised as a Fox News article, claiming the 52-year-old actor committed suicide, is another reason why online users should always go to popular and reputable news websites instead of depending on social media posts. Also, Facebook users who click on the fake news post will be asked to allow a fake and malicious Facebook app, disguised as legitimate news app, to access to their accounts. About a month ago, there was a similar hoax or fake-news that claim that Angelina Joli, Brad Pitt's wife, committed suicide.

Whenever something dramatic or depressing like the death of someone is posted on social networking or unpopular websites, online users should verify it with a reputable news website before posting, sharing, commenting or liking the same post.

FOX BREAKING NEWS: BRAD PITT Found dead (Suicide)

Brad Pitt, 52, a multiawarded American actor and husband of Angelina Jolie, 41, shot himself in the head at a shooting range on Sunday. He was under significant stress because the couple 'were going through a divorce and he had a history of depression', sources have said.

Users who click the fake post above will be taken to the fake-news website and be greeted with a popup message requesting the malicious Facebook App to access their Facebook accounts.

If users allow the malicious Facebook app to access to their accounts, it will post the fake-news of Brad Pitt death to their Facebook Timeline or Wall, which will spread it to their Facebook friends. Therefore, Facebook users who see the fake Brad Pitt death post on their Timeline or Wall, should delete or report it as spam to help stop it from spreading to other users. Facebook users who were tricked by the fake message into allowing the malicious Facebook app to access their Facebook accounts should click here for instructions on how to remove it.
