Society of Petroleum Engineers Humanitarian Non-Profit Organizations Lottery Scams
Online users who have received email messages like the one below, which claims that they are winners in the International Humanitarian Non-Profit Organization, Society of Petroleum Engineers or Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference (MEOS 2017), should delete the message and not follow the instructions in it, because it is a lottery scam.
Lottery scammers behind the scam will ask their potential victims to send personal information and money in order to claim their so-called prizes. Once the scammers receive the personal information and money from their victims, they will disappear.
