"Yahoo Final Termination Notice" Phishing Scams
Yahoo users, be aware of email messages like the one below, which claim that you have violated Yahoo's terms and conditions and your account will be terminated if you do not verify it. The email messages are phishing scams being sent by cybercriminals to steal Yahoo usernames and passwords, by tricking Yahoo users into opening an attached HTML form that steals personal information and email account credentials.

Yahoo will never send an email message to their users asking them to open and complete an attached HTML form. The form will ask potential victims for personal information, account credentials, and other sensitive information. If the potential victims fill out the information and send or submit it, it will be sent to the cybercriminals behind the phishing scam, who will use the information to hijack their accounts. The hijacked Yahoo accounts will then be used fraudulently by cybercriminals.
Remember, Yahoo users who have received email messages like the one above are asked to delete them and should never click on the links in them. If a Yahoo users are unsure about an email message, they can go directly to their email accounts by going directly to https://mail.yahoo.com. If there is anything wrong with their accounts, it will be shown to them after signing in. And, if they were tricked by one of these phishing scams, they should change their password immediately before their Yahoo accounts are hijacked.
