"Fifth Third Bank Unauthorized Log-in Attempt" Phishing Scams
Fifth Third Bank customers are asked to be aware of phishing scams like the one below which claim that there have been unauthorized login attempts on their accounts which resulted in their account usernames being changed. The phishing scams steal online banking account credentials by tricking the recipients into clicking on a link in the fake email messages. The link goes to a fake Fifth Third Bank website disguised as the legitimate one located at www.53.com.
