If you have gotten text messages from telephone numbers in the 1-410-000-0001 and 1-410-100-0001 ranges, claiming that you have won some so-called lottery, you have received some so-called donations, your account has been issued credit for overage charges, or you have received threats to pay out money, please do not respond to the messages. This is because the messages are being sent by scammers and spammers using the 1-410-000-xxxx to 1-410-100-xxxx telephone number ranges.

Thousands of people around the country are receiving spam and scams from the 1-410-000-xxxx to 1-410-100-xxxx telephone number ranges. Most of the recipients of the spams and scams are AT&T customers. Most are asked to go to fake websites like hxxp:/www.myatt85.com that steal account credentials and personal information. While some are tricked into signing up for premium services.

How to Stop Spammers and Scammers

If you get a spam text message, forward the message to your cell or mobile phone service provider so that they can help shut the spammers down. Therefore, don't delete the spam or scam text right away.
