"Apple Store Thank You for Your Order - Items to Be Shipped" Phishing Scam
The fake email message below which claims that the recipients have ordered items from the Apple Store is a phishing scam. The scam has been created by online scammers to steal Apple users' usernames and passwords, by attempting to trick them into clicking on the links within it, which will take them to a fake Apple website. The fake website will ask visitors to sign-in with their username and password. But, any attempts to sign into the fake website will send the visitors' Apple usernames and passwords (credentials) to the online scammers, who will use it to hijack their accounts.
It is recommended that Apple users go directly to appleid.apple.com to sign into their accounts, instead of clicking on a link in an e-mail message.
