Emails with a Malicious Attached Form or HTML Web Page

Online users, be aware of phishing email messages like the one below that are being sent by cyber criminals to potential victims, with an attached form or HTML Webpage requesting personal and financial information. Legitimate companies will never send their customers an email message with an attached form or HTML webpage requesting personal, financial or account information. Therefore, online users are asked to be careful of email messages with an attached form or HTML Webpage requesting the same information.

An HTML webpage or form is a document with name ending with ".html" or ".htm".

Remember, if in doubt or uncertain about an email message, online users should contact the sender via telephone or other means, if possible, to verify the authenticity of the email message.
