"Netflix Customer Care Summer Gift For You" Phishing Scam
The email below, which appears as if it came from Netflix and claim the recipients will get this month free, is actually a phishing scam being sent by cyber criminals to trick Netflix users into visiting a fake/phishing website. Once on the fake/phishing website, visitors will be asked to sign into their Netflix account, but any attempts to do so will result in their Netflix account credentials being sent to the cybercriminals.
Once the cybercriminals have gotten their potential victims' Netflix accounts, they will gain access to, hijack their accounts, and use them fraudulently. Therefore recipients who have been tricked by the phishing scam are asked to change their Netflix passwords immediately before their accounts are hijacked and used fraudulently.
